Ski-touring in the Norwegian Fjords
The boat will be operating out of Ålesund from February to mid-March, with private ski-touring in Sognefjorden and Hjørundfjorden. Sognefjord is Norway’s largest fjord and is renowned for its endless number of breath-taking peaks, ideal for those new to ski-touring as well as experienced skiers. Hjørundfjorden, surrounded by the Sunnmore alps, has peaks reaching above 1500masl, perfect if you’re looking for challenging ascents and dramatic drops.
Ski-touring in the Arctic Haute Route
From mid-March to April, the ship will operate along the Arctic Haute Route and Lyngen Alps. The Arctic Haute route offers summit-to-sea skiing on the islands of Lofoten, Andørja, Senja and Kvaløya. The route provides a dramatic backdrop as you ascend to peaks rising to over 1000masl, and ski right down to the shores of the North Atlantic Ocean. The Lyngen Alps are located east of Tromso with peaks up to 1800masl and offer exclusive ski terrain which can only be accessed by boat.
Ski-touring in Svalbard
May 2018 will see the ship travel to Svalbard, the world’s most adventurous ski destination. The rugged, remote terrain, which ascends from dramatic glaciers and vast icefields, is an expedition through the Arctic wilderness. Svalbard is ideal for experienced ski-tourers who are looking for an exclusive new adventure.
