Easter Ski holiday

Ski holidays in Norway, spring 2020

For the perfect Easter ski holiday for your family, join skiNorway for an exceptional ski holiday in Trysil, Norefjell or Hemsedal in 2020. Not only will you get skiNorway’s fantastic services and expertise, including complimentary childcare and our exclusive ski schools, you will also benefit from guaranteed snow throughout April.

Spring skiing in Norway

One of the best kept secrets of the snow sports industry is that spring is one of the best times to enjoy a ski holiday, especially for young families and those new to skiing.

In Scandinavia the days are already more than 12 hours long by the end of March, ideal for relaxed days exploring the slopes. Temperatures are on the rise and are mild enough to suit young families, however there is still a great chance of fresh snow. This is the perfect combination for learning and improving your skiing technique and is especially good if you're a mixed group of beginner and advance skiers.

Norway is famous for its quiet ski slopes and because spring skiing is such a well-kept secret, you might well feel like you have the resort to yourself. These are wonderful conditions to learn in, and equally fantastic for experienced skiers wanting to stretch their ski legs; you’ll be flying round the mountain in no time.

Optional Activities

Husky sledding

Husky sledding is an iconic part of Scandinavian culture and is a great way to experience the stunning scenery from a different perspective. Husky sledding adventures are available from most of our resorts so speak to your skiNorway expert for more information and to book.

Star gazing in Trysil

Norway has low levels of light pollution which is great for experiencing the night sky in a way you might not have before. If you’re lucky the Northern Lights can sometimes be seen from Trysil. Star gazing must be booked in resort as it’s weather dependent, so contact your skiNorway resort representative during your stay.

Cross-country skiing

Another iconic Scandinavian pastime is cross-country skiing, and it really is an enjoyable way to immerse yourself in the local nature and culture. Lessons and equipment hire are widely available in advance and in resort, so contact your skiNorway expert for more information.

Horse sleigh ride

Listen to the sounds of the horses’ bells and enjoy magical evening as you glide across the snow to your destination in the snow-capped forest. You’ll stop at a traditional hut – a canvass wrapped Scandinavian tepee warmed by an open fire – for a hearty dinner of stew or sausages in this magical setting. Once you’ve had your fill it’s back to the sleds for the cosy journey home, wrapped in reindeer furs against the starry night.
