The right slopes for me?
Excellent: An ideal choice for those new to the snow. The passionate and experienced ski school instructors are all English speaking and perfect for building confidence to explore the awaiting mountains.
Good: Uncrowded slopes and virtually no lift queues make this a haven for mixed ability families and groups.
Average: The selection of advanced runs in Geilo is suited toward the newly advanced skiers with a choice of black runs and some challenging mogul fields to hone your skills. For those more adventurous on skis or snowboard, the off-piste can offer some variation and challenges.
Excellent: There are 220km of cross country trails in and around Geilo, from gentle tracks around the resort to expert trails in the rolling fell tops. With access to even more in the nearby surrounding areas, Geilo is a fantastic destination for those interested in this Nordic sport.
Good: There is a well-equipped fun park in Geilo with everything you’ll need to work on your freestyle skills.

The resort is generally family orientated with a few relaxed bars and cafés to choose from. In Geilo village centre there is a good choice of cafés and restaurants to choose from while there is fine dining available in various hotel restaurants.
