The alpine peaks of Hemsedal will feel reassuringly familiar as you approach. The mountainous resort has all the charm and warm welcome of an alpine resort as well as a varied selection of runs. Hemsedal offers the high-standard of accommodation and limited lift queues that Norway is renowned for, but unlike the European Alps can guarantee snow from December until April.
SkiNorway has handpicked a selection of luxury cabins, fantastic family friendly lodges and deluxe hotel rooms that make Hemsedal the ideal skiing and snowboarding resort for families and groups.
The slopes are suitable for those new to the snow but also offer a fantastic range of more advanced and off-piste skiing, meaning this is the perfect destination for groups of mixed abilities. Whether you are interested in trying out cross-country, giving husky sledding a go, or just fancy a week of fantastic cuisine, Hemsedal has something for everyone.

Good: There are 250km of marked and maintained trails spread across 3 locations in and around Hemsedal, making it a great destination for those interested in cross country skiing.
