The fantastic ski school and large beginner area are great for families and first time skiers and skiNorway’s exclusive ski schools will also be available in Myrkdalen. With an annual snowfall of more than 5 meters, Myrkdalen ski resort is also a ski-touring and off-piste skier and snowboarder’s dream. The ski-in/ski-out hotel at the foot of the slopes offers fabulous, flexible accommodation that is great for families, groups and couples. There are a fun selection of activities to enjoy on and off the slopes, like the unique wind tunnel experience. A good choice of restaurants and cafes provide a warm and cosy place to rest and refresh at the base of the slopes.

The right slopes for me?
Excellent: With the largest beginner area in west Norway, a fantastic ski school and our funSki academy available, Myrkdalen is a great place to learn to ski.
Excellent: Myrkdalen has an excellent selection of blue and red slopes spread across the ski area, ideal for intermediate and improving skiers. The ski school can also offer instruction for all abilities if you’d like to improve and refine your technique.
Good: There is a good starting selection of advanced black runs available in Myrkdalen but this resort really comes into its own for advanced skiers when you head off-piste. There is a dedicated training area for avalanche transceivers.
Good: There are 28km of groomed cross-country trails around Mykdalen, including routes up through the fells. There is also a floodlit arena for evening skiing. Unmarked trails are available for experienced cross-country skiers.
Good: There are 2 dedicated snowparks and a separate terrain area for snowboarders as well as a fun selection of off-piste. The 2 chair lifts in Myrkdalen give comfortable access to most of the mountain.
