Skiing in Norefjell
Norefjell ski resort has the longest vertical drop in northern Europe, and you can ski from the top of the mountain to the shores of a lake on blue and green slopes, making Norefjell a wonderful environment for new and intermediate skiers. Norefjell ski resort provides the quiet slopes and famously friendly ski schools that Norway is know for. Our exclusive small group ski schools will also be available in Norefjell from 2020, so you and your family can learn and develop your skiing in a supportive, fun environment.
Families, beginners and intermediate skiers will particularly enjoy Norefjell with its selection of well-maintained slopes with fantastic beginner areas and a network of beautiful intermediate to advanced slopes. Norefjell ski resort hosted the Giant Slalom and Downhill events at the 1952 Winter Olympics, runs which now provide some challenging areas for more advanced skiers. 200km of cross-country skiing trails are available around Norefjell, as well as two well-maintained snow parks.

Excellent: Norefjell has a wonderful beginner ski area and a well linked network of green and blue slopes, so you have the opportunity to ski from the top to the bottom of the ski resort even if it’s your first week on the snow. We offer our exclusive ski schools in Norefjell and the instruction is of an international standard with all instructors speaking English.
Excellent: Intermediate skiers are bound to enjoy Norefjell's blue and red slopes which offer beautiful views alongside wonderful conditions for practising and improving. There are ski and boarder cross tracks in resort as well as speed tests and fun slalom courses to discover and enjoy.
Average: There are some black runs in Norefjell as well as 2 snow parks to keep advanced skiers entertained.
Good: There are 200km of maintained cross-country skiing trails and tracks around Norefjell, they are graded from easy to demanding, so you can choose a route suitable for your ability and interest.
Good: Norefjell has 2 snow parks with a range of jumps, rails and more. Snowboarders should be aware that drag lifts dominate the lift system.
